ADRENALS & ADRENAL FATIGUE
What are Adrenals?
Now they kick in for everyday stressors, such as traffic jams, arguments, work deadlines, financial commitments, etc. The hormones they produce play intricately in feedback systems with the other glands in the body, regulating many functions including:
- Blood sugar levels
- Hormone output (estrogen, testosterone, DHEA, progesterone)
- Mineral metabolism
- Allergies / immune response
- Promoting breakdown of carbohydrates and proteins
- Blood pressure
When these small glands become exhausted, all areas of your life can be effected from inability to concentrate, excessive fatigue, nervous and irritable, excessive weakness, fainting, low sex drive, dehydration, low blood pressure, allergic/hypersensitive immune reactions, low blood sugar levels, craving salty or sweet foods, osteoporosis, and sleep disturbances.
Adrenal fatigue
Compared to medical treatment, natural therapies have so much more to offer in restoring the health of the adrenal glands. Once these glands have been nourished and had time to recover they are able to support your body in responding appropriately when challenged with stresses and adapt without your whole body going into overload.
If you’ve been burning the candle at both ends for too long, the great news is the adrenals can recover if detected early and with the proper support. Learn to take care of your adrenals and they will take care of you when you need them the most.
