Have a persistent cough that you can’t shift?
This remedy has cured many a stubborn cough and will scare off any nasty bacteria that are hanging around. Needs to be taken twice a day for at least ten days. If you have stomach ulcers or sensitive to spicy foods reduce the amount of Cayenne Pepper or leave it out.
This remedy is also fantastic for the first stages of a fever.
Taken at night after a hot bath, wrap up in warm clothes and sweat it out overnight in bed, remember to be well hydrated beforehand. Can add 1 tsp of Turmeric if suffering from aches and pains.
Ingredients:
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 tsp of grated ginger
- 1 tsp of minced horseradish ( if available)
- 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
- ¼ cup Apple cider vinegar
- juice of one lemon
- 1-2 Tbs of honey( Manuka if available)
Mix all ingredients in a glass bottle.
From this take 1-2 Tbs mixed in a cup of hot water and sip. Take twice a day.
Keep stock bottle in fridge, will last for a couple of days.
At first it takes a little while to get used to the taste, but after a few days and the with your cough disappearing you will love this remedy and be sharing it with family and friends.
Also recommend taking Cod Liver Oil or Vitamin A to support lungs if the cough has been present for several weeks

Important to also note that some coughs can be due to digestive imbalances such as reflux and a different approach is needed.
